Our Story
It all began in 2019, when Evan first discovered paragliding and, not long after, bought a well-loved Enzo to soar the dunes of South Australia. What started as a fascination quickly grew into a passion — not only for flying, but for building tools that capture the feeling of being in the sky.
Long before Para Sim became what it is today, Evan had already been experimenting with flight simulation. The very first version of the simulator launched back in 2016. Since then, he has spent years refining it — making it more realistic, versatile, and true to the spirit of paragliding. In 2023, Para Sim reached a new milestone with Version 5.1, bringing new terrains, trimmer risers, improved weight-shift dynamics, and FPV camera updates.
Now based in Newcastle, Australia, Para Sim continues to grow as both a project and a community. Our goal is simple: to share the wonder of flight through an immersive and ever-evolving simulator. We invite you to join us on this journey — to explore, support, and celebrate the skies together.
Meet the Team

Founder and CreatorPara Sim is the creation of Evan, a Mechatronics Engineer and passionate solo developer. Inspired by a lifelong fascination with the sky and a love for simplicity, nature, and repairable design, Evan built Para Sim with these principles at its core.
The first version of Para Sim took shape in 2019, crafted from his family home on the Swansea Peninsula in Australia. What began as a personal project has grown into an immersive paragliding simulator designed to capture the freedom, beauty, and challenge of flight.

Marketing and BrandAlyssa brings a unique blend of science, storytelling, and adventure to Para Sim. With a background in biologics and biotechnology software sales, she knows how to connect complex ideas with people in meaningful ways.
In January 2024, she discovered paragliding — a passion that quickly reshaped her life. By October 2025, she left her job in San Francisco, packed her wing, and set out on a year-long journey to paraglide around the world. Along the way, in the skies of Colombia, she met Evan. Inspired by a shared vision, Alyssa joined forces with him to grow the Para Sim brand and share the beauty of flight with pilots everywhere.
